Christmas is Coming

Yes, yes, I know, it's not even Thanksgiving yet, but aren't you feeling the pressure? The decorating, the shopping, the entertaining... ahhhhhh! It's enough to make any Martha wanna-be scream.

What I've been thinking about lately, is what our family Christmas card will look like this year. Being a graphic designer and a fairly decent photographer (meaning I know how to use photoshop), I think there is some expectation that it really be a winner. I've got to hit it out of the park. It must be one for the books.

etc. you get the picture.

And to top it off, the past two Christmas cards have been pretty funny (if I do say so myself). Do I do a funny card again? Should I go traditional? Help me! I can't figure out my Christmas card!

Your cards are just so cool! Keep the funny clever ones coming! I'm sure everyone enjoys them so much.

My godmother used to conjure up some crazy cards back in the days before photoshop. The best one was when the entire family posed in the hot tub and she found those cheesy old giant fork and spoon wall decorations and they had fake giant veggies floating with them in the tub! Family stew or something like that. Still remember it, twenty years on.

thanks ladies!

i think silly christmas cards are in my genes - my mom told me that my dad used to sign all their cards with any name other than his own. my grandfather was always confused as to why he would get a card from president and mrs. nixon.

im going with you saucy, family soup sounds hysterical!

I agree, you're created some high expectations...It's gotta be funny, though. Add me to your mailing list! I'm sure it's going to be great.

Oh my goodness! Your 2007 card has to be the cuties ever! If I had kids (and knew my way around photoshop) I would certainly copy your idea! I think your famlily will look forward to your card each year, so keep cute and clever like it is!

So...I know there is a story behind the cut-out husband, spill!

I have been making silly/crazy/obsessively complicated cards for 20 years. At this point I think my least favorite phrase is "Can't wait to see what you do NEXT year." Sigh.
